Chardham Yatra

Uttarakhand is known as Dev Bhoomi (Land of the Gods), as it is a land of great pilgrimages, sacred temples and places, attracting millions of pilgrims and spiritual seekers to attain enlightenment. The pilgrimage centers of 4 dhams located in the Garhwal region are considered the holiest places in India: Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.

These four ancient temples mark the Yamuna River (Yamunotri), Ganga or Ganga (Gangotri), Mandakini (Kedarnath) and Alaknanda (Badrinath) rivers along with the spiritual source of the four sacred rivers.
