Transportation in Rajasthan

Airways

Being the largest Indian state, Rajasthan is connected by many flights with other cities and states. To travel from major cities of Rajasthan it is advisable to travel via flights.

There are regular flights to Rajasthan from the metro cities of Mumbai and Delhi. Foreign travelers can land at Mumbai or New Delhi Airport. There are direct flights to Jaipur from countries such as Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Sharjah, Singapore and Dubai.

Railways

Traveling through railways is an old mode of transport. Rajasthan is well connected with the world's largest railway service. The four metros of India, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai are well connected with all the major cities and towns of Rajasthan. Local Transport

Taxibus - With the availability of taxicabs service it has become quite easy to travel from the cities and towns of the state. These taxis are also used to roam various cities.

Auto Rickshaws and Cycle Rickshaws - Cities and cities across cities are filled with many auto rickshaws and cycle rickshaws used for daily commutes. Auto rickshaws ply on a meter basis while bicycle rickshaws are manually operated and are slightly slower.

Tempo - Tempo are an extension of auto rickshaws. Tempo the ply on a fixed rate basis. Rates may vary according to the distance covered.
